About

bunny and colleenHey! That’s me, Colleen, and my precious puppy, Zuzu (aka Bunny). Welcome to Drag it Through the Garden! I’m a twenty-something year old student from Saint Louis, Missouri. I started this blog in May 2011 as a way to share recipes from my kitchen to all of yours. Cooking has always been a passion of mine. Ever since I ventured to make that first batch of Ramen noodles when I was seven, the passion keeps building every day.

I hope you enjoy my cooking adventures and have a crack at some of these recipes yourself! Thanks for stopping by!

    Colleen,

I enjoyed reading your blog. You are very clever in your writing. I can just about taste the mini ham and swiss sandwiches. Can’t wait to make them.

The cupcake and cookie sample platter was delicious. Feel free to use me as a reference .

Your pictures are fantastic and your recipes great—-I have a notebook of recipes I have collected from friends through the years and so many of them have your mom’s name on them. She is a great cook so I am not surprised by your abilities. I am definitely going to try some of these out—-and look forward to more. Drag it through the garden—what a clever name—you can count me as one of your subscribers

Thank you, Kathleen! It really does mean a lot to both my mom and me. And I definitely have learned so much about cooking from my mom (although she sometimes wants to claim otherwise!).

Colleen! I happened upon your Blog and I am so impressed. The ham and cheese sandwiches look fantastic. I was looking for an orchiette and gorgonzola recipe and I found yours. You are bookmarked! Good luck in school. You are an impressive young woman.

My mom and I were looking for the standard recipe for the Ham & Swiss sandwiches for my sister’s baby shower. We were really excited when we ran across your recipe and it offered a twist on the classic. We wanted to try it before we served it to a house full of guests so we ran out to get the ingredients and made them today. Wow! YUMMY!!! We are so thrilled and can’t wait to serve these at the shower. My sister is kind of a foodie and we know she’ll love these! We know it will become a family favorite for years to come. Can’t wait to try some of your other recipes. Thank you for sharing!

You are so talented, your writing style is great. I rarely read what people write-just go straight to the recipe (sorry peeps), but I enjoyed reading everything you wrote. Write a book!

Thank you so much… you just made my day! πŸ™‚ (and I know what I mean about skipping straight to the recipe. I’m guilty of it too!)
